Press Release

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (Feb. 20, 2018)—The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) celebrated its recent expansion and relocation to the 130,000-square-foot Cortec building located at 3801 Helios Way, Suite 130 within 130 Commerce Center. The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting ceremony Feb. 15 at the new offices, where the PCDC also unveiled a new logo. More than 80 city- and state-elected officials, city leaders, chamber staff and members of the local business community were in attendance at the open house event.

The new PCDC offices total 3,775 square feet, which is nearly 1,775 square feet larger than the space previously leased in the Community Impact Newspaper building at 130 Commerce Center from 2013 to 2017. A large conference and event room offers the capability to live stream and broadcast meetings.

“Community Impact Newspaper’s continued success led to them needing the space that we occupied. We found a new home with Cortec Precision Manufacturing that allowed us to relocate to a space with a new, state-of-the-art conference room where we can host events under our own roof that further the mission and vision of the corporation,” PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said.

The primary function of the meetings rooms at the PCDC’s new offices is for board of directors and staff to have space that can be used for attracting, retaining and expanding businesses that create new jobs and increase tax revenue to support community development, according to PCDC.

PCDC’s vision is for Pflugerville to be a thriving job center in Central Texas built on core values of inclusion, family, exemplary education and purposeful investment in the community. The PCDC Board of Directors is composed of seven volunteers who serve two-year terms.

“The city council exhibited great confidence in the capability and direction of our board in the reappointment of all four members whose terms were up at the end of last year,” Madison said.

Additional space is available for lease at the Cortec building. Call 512-990-3725 for more information.
