On July 14, 2020, the PCDC, City of Pflugerville, and Amazon.com Services LLC. announced a new bulk fulfillment center and the largest project in Pflugerville history bringing 1,000 jobs and a $250MM investment. The announcement followed an extended recruitment effort that dealt with challenges including a pandemic. During the webinar, expert panelists shared some behind-the-scenes adventures of nearly two years of site selection, land entitlements, COVID-19 impacts, and provided an update on the hiring process coming up later this summer.
