PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (March 10, 2020) — The Texas Economic Development Council (TEDC) recognized the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) with a certificate of achievement for Economic Excellence at the TEDC’s Winter Conference on Feb. 20. This is the sixth consecutive year for the PCDC to receive the certificate and is one of only 53 Texas communities recognized out of a possible 887 eligible organizations. The award recognizes economic development organizations that attain a high level of professionalism.

“It is an honor for our board and staff to be recognized by industry leaders for our focus on higher standards of excellence,” PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said. “It not only sets us apart but clearly demonstrates our commitment to responsible economic growth and development.”

The Economic Excellence Recognition program honors those organizations who achieve higher standards through the professional development and training of their governing board and staff. Other criteria considered for the recognition are the certifications, professional memberships, and organizational effectiveness.

“The TEDC’s Economic Excellence Recognition program is one of the ways in which our organization honors the outstanding commitment to excellence of our communities and regions, their leaders, and their economic development professionals have toward the professionalization of their economic development efforts,” noted TEDC President/CEO Carlton Schwab in a Feb. 20 release.
