PFLUGERVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND PCDC ANNOUNCE AMY MADISON AS RECIPIENT OF LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Pflugerville, Texas (February 21, 2024) — The Pflugerville Chamber of Commerce and the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) announced Amy Madison as the recipient of the Pflugerville Chamber Lifetime Achievement Award. The ceremony took place at the Courtyard Marriott Pflugerville and Pflugerville Conference Center on February 15, 2024. The award acknowledges Madison's role in the economic development and her contributions to Pflugerville's growth.
As the Executive Director of the PCDC since January 2016, Madison has been involved in the recruitment and expansion of 76 projects, accounting for 9.3 million square feet and the creation of 7,076 full-time jobs, contributing to Pflugerville's position as one of the fastest-growing cities in the U.S.
Madison played a key role in attracting major projects, such as Amazon Services LLC., which has led to the PCDC receiving accolades including the Trade and Industry CiCi Award and the Gold Award for Economic Development Organization of the Year.
Her achievements include helping to establish the One Thirty Business Park and bringing in Amazon to open a 3.8 million square foot robotic distribution center. Additionally, she has facilitated the acquisition of over $3 million in state funding for workforce training and infrastructure, which has supported the development of the largest cluster of Additive Manufacturing in the region.
Madison has also been involved in the expansion of Impact Way in the One Thirty Business Park, which has improved utility access and facilitated additional economic development, drawing investments from companies like EVS Metal and boosting the tax base and the generation of primary jobs.
Beyond her role at PCDC, Madison has mentored economic development professionals and worked with various organizations to meet community needs, including distributing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during the COVID-19 pandemic and establishing the Pflugerville Manufacturing Academy.
