PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (March 21, 2019) — The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) Board of Directors approved a deal with the electrical contract company Rosendin Electric at a March 20 regular meeting. The company is relocating facilities in Texas and California regional to a 50,000-square-foot facility in Pflugerville with a $3 million capital investment and bringing 84 primary jobs that will have a minimum average wage of $75,000.

“We are pleased to retain Rosendin's regional headquarters in Pflugerville for their expansion and relocation of other services from California. The company is ranked in the top 1/2 percent gross income within their industry in the country,” said PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison. “With this move, they have the opportunity to maintain and increase their dominance in electrical contracting and provide excellent opportunities for our local workforce."

As part of the seven-year Economic Development Performance Agreement, the PCDC will offer a $2,000 grant for each new primary job, up to $20,000 for three years provided they relocate or hire 54 employees in year one and create 10 new primary jobs in years two through four.

To be eligible for the total $60,000 incentive, Rosendin must retain the new primary jobs created each year, in addition to the 54 newly hired or relocated jobs during the agreement.

“Pflugerville was a natural fit for Rosendin – not only is it a great location in proximity to Austin with ease of access to major highways and two airports, but it also supports our goal of attracting the best and brightest,” Director of Texas Operations John Colley said. “The opportunity to work in conjunction with the PCDC has been an added bonus. It is exciting when a community demonstrates the welcoming attitude we continually experience from their staff.”

Founded in 1919, Rosendin Electric has become one of the nation’s top electrical contractors employing over 6,000 people across 15 regional offices in the United States with a $2.3 billion annual revenue. The company, 100 percent employee-owned since 2000, has recently garnered numerous accolades such as the 2018 Grand Award for Construction Safety Excellence by the Associated General Contractors of America, Top Solar Contractor by Solar Power World, and Top Electrical Contractor by Electrical Construction & Maintenance Magazine.

The agreement is expected to go before the Pflugerville City Council for final approval March 26
