Pflugerville Community Development Corporation Welcomes Stacey Pfefferkorn as Business Retention and Workforce Development Director
The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation is pleased to announce Stacey Pfefferkorn as its new Business Retention and Workforce Development Director. With more than a decade of experience in local government, Stacey brings a hands-on, relationship-driven approach to economic development, workforce strategy, and public service.
Stacey has held key roles across Central Texas, including Economic Development Director for the City of Lampasas, Assistant Village Administrator for the Village of Salado, and Assistant to the City Manager and Management Analyst for the City of Round Rock. In each of these positions, she worked closely with local businesses, chambers, and regional partners to identify needs, remove barriers, and support long-term economic vitality. She led retention visits, coordinated workforce development events, secured grant funding for infrastructure and revitalization, and developed outreach programs to connect business owners with the resources they need to succeed.
Stacey is especially passionate about supporting the businesses that have already chosen-or plan to-invest in a community. She believes long-term relationships, local insight, and consistent communication are key to helping businesses not only stay, but grow. Her work focuses on linking employers to tools, talent pipelines, and government resources while advocating for their needs as the city continues to evolve.
She holds a Master of Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration from Texas State University.
A Central Texas native, Stacey lives in Liberty Hill with her two sons. Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking, camping, fishing, and spending time outdoors with her family.
As she steps into her role, Stacey is working to establish a consistent schedule of business retention visits across Pflugerville. She is currently scheduling meetings with business owners, general managers, CEOs, and nonprofit leaders to gain a deeper understanding of their day-to-day experiences and identify how the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) can support their continued success. The PCDC helps drive economic growth in the city by supporting local employers through workforce partnerships, business outreach, and programs that promote long-term investment.
"I'm honored to serve a community like Pflugerville, one that's growing fast but still deeply rooted," she shared. "If you run a business or lead a nonprofit in Pflugerville, I want to come to you. I want to hear your story, understand your operation, and find out how the PCDC can better support your success."
Because when businesses thrive, the entire community benefits - from more jobs and stronger schools to vibrant neighborhoods and shared pride in where we live.
Business and nonprofit leaders are encouraged to reach out to Stacey directly to schedule a site visit or one-on-one meeting.
