Austin Regional Clinic is opening its second Pflugerville location to provide medical services to the rapidly growing community.

The 10,000-square-foot clinic, which will offer family medicine, pediatrics and a laboratory, is expected to open next fall in Cornerstone at Kelly Lane. The 17,500-square-foot commercial property is at 2100 Autumn Slate Drive, near the future Costco at the southwest corner of Texas 45 and Texas 130.

“One of the things companies look for in relocating or expanding their company is quality of life and available services,” said Amy Madison, executive director of the Pflugerville Community Development Corp., which attracts, retains and expands businesses with the goal of creating jobs and tax revenue. “Pflugerville has some top-notch medical care, and this clinic provides the kind of expansion we desperately needed to serve our current and future community.”

Once the clinic opens, patients can expect to see one of three or four physicians as well as clinical and administrative staffers. Medical staffing will increase to meet demand, said Carlton Inniss, senior director of clinical operations.

“ARC has been serving the Pflugerville community for more than a decade, and during that time we’ve seen the phenomenal growth of the area around us,” he said. “We knew we needed to expand to meet the community demand for more convenient access to care.”

Part of that convenience at the new clinic, he said, includes secure same-day appointments anytime online and by phone.

Austin Regional Clinic’s first Pflugerville location opened in 2002 at 15803 Windermere Drive. Officials said that since the opening of the original clinic, the local community has grown more than 42 percent.

“We will make some minor renovations so that the clinic layout remains in sync with the efforts of our physicians and staff when treating our patients,” Inniss said.

The Cornerstone at Kelly Lane development is expected to be complete by late summer. Austin Regional Clinic is the anchor tenant, and about 7,500 square feet of retail and medical space is available for lease. Construction on the new clinic will begin within 30 days.
