Karla Henderson Joins Pflugerville Community Development Corporation as Operations, Administrative Manager

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (April 22, 2016)—The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) today announced the addition of Karla Henderson as Operations and Administrative Manager.

“Karla Henderson is an excellent addition to our team and comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in finance and operations management,” said PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison. “Her experience will serve us well as we continue to work aggressively to attract additional great employers, retail, hotels and entertainment venues to Pflugerville.”

Henderson is a native Texan and comes to the PCDC with a extensive experience in leadership positions in government and private enterprise. Most recently, she spent 11 years at National Instruments as a business intelligence analyst. Her previous experience in the public sector includes Director of Finance and Information Technology at Harris County Improvement District No. 1 in Uptown Houston, and the City of Austin where she was in charge of all general obligation and revenue bond issues. Henderson has also previously worked for the Municipal Advisory Council of Texas, the University of Texas and United Technologies Corporation.

She earned bachelor’s degrees in finance and statistics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Christian Kurtz, a five-year employee of the PCDC, is responsible for business retention and expansion and also supports Madison in business recruitment. Madison, who has been with the PCDC since January 2014 and served as interim executive director for six months, was named executive director in February.
