Economic Development Week was created by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) in 2016. To increase awareness of local programs that create jobs, advance career development opportunities, and improve communities' quality of life everywhere.

Economic development is a critical component that drives economic growth in our economy, creating high-wage jobs and facilitating an improved quality of life.
The business development team at the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation works to attract, and retain jobs for Pflugerville.
While the work of economic developers often falls under the radar, creating and sustaining jobs for a region is a critical component to a successful economy and community.

Tuesday, 5/11: The Pflugerview: Get to know Rosendin.
In March 2019, the PCDC announced a deal with electrical contract company Rosendin Electric. The company relocated its facilities in both Texas and California to a 50,000-square-foot facility in Pflugerville and brought 84 primary jobs to the community.
Rosendin was founded in 1919 and has become one of the nation's top electrical contractors employing over 6,000 people across 15 regional offices in the United States. The company has been 100 percent employee-owned since 2000.
In this episode of the Pflugerview, PCDC Executive Director sits down with Jolsna Thomas, President of the Rosendin Foundation, to hear what Rosendin has been up to since 2019.
