Longtime Telecommunications Company Tescom Expands, Relocates National Headquarters to Pflugerville

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas (Nov. 30, 2016)—The Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) today announced telecommunications company TesCom will relocate its national headquarters to Pflugerville and expand its business, bringing 33 full-time jobs within a year and 42 jobs within five years.

In a regular meeting Nov. 17, the PCDC Board of Directors approved one-time $25,000 grant for TesCom.

“We are pleased to be able to provide space for an established, successful, locally owned business to grow in Pflugerville,” PCDC Executive Director Amy Madison said. “The investments and improvements TesCom is making to the existing building is great for our community, and the high-quality, high-tech jobs with benefits are fantastic to keep in our region.”

TesCom is relocating into an existing building at 20200 Algreg St., Pflugerville. The grant from the PCDC will be used for electric utility upgrades and additional relocation costs.

Established in 1982, TesCom is a privately held business previously located in the Austin ETJ. TesCom manufactures, designs, repairs and calibrates telecommunications test equipment, GPS timing systems, general lab equipment, and drone workflow management software. The company’s primary customers are major telecom firms, including AT&T.

TesCom’s staff of more than 50 employees across the U.S. includes 33 currently located in the Austin area. Within a year, four jobs will be relocated from Calif. to Pflugerville. Other jobs nationally will be consolidated into its national headquarters within the next five years.
