Pflugerville Officials Schedule special Meeting To Outline Lease Terms For Typhoon Texas Park
The Dec. 28 gathering will establish lease terms as well as an agreement for new operators to upgrade site in return for public access.
PFLUGERVILLE, TX — A special meeting is scheduled by city officials next week to discuss lease terms and lease transfer to Typhoon Texas officials of what used to be the Hawaiian Falls water park.
The move comes after the former operators defaulted on payments owed the city. City Council members will be joined by Pflugerville Community Development Corp. during the special meeting scheduled Dec. 28. The meeting is expected to take place at 6 p.m. in city council chambers located at 100 E. Main St.
During the meeting, the water park transfer to Source Horizon LLC is expected to be finalized. The proposed terms include a specified investment into the park for upgrades, to be conducted by Typhoon Texas officials in order to add family-friendly amenities and new attractions. In return, PCDC and the city will help negotiate a public access off FM 685 with the Texas Department of Transporstion while outlining payments from PCDC to include marketing and promotional contributions.
The meeting will stream online at www.pflugervilletx.gov/pftv and on Suddenlink Channel 17 and 117 and Uverse 99.
